About 21 million Americans over the age of 25 have osteoarthritis. Joint pain and stiffness are the most common symptoms of osteoarthritis, which frequently involves hands, neck, lower back, knees. Being overweight is a major risk factor for osteoarthritis, which also becomes more common as people get older.
