Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Is weight loss important for my health?
Certainly patients who have weight-related complications including high blood pressure, diabetes, high cholesterol and metabolic syndrome will have significant health benefits from weight loss. Abdominal obesity (waist as large as, or larger than hips) is also associated with increased cardiovascular risk. Other complications of overweight include sleep apnea and degenerative arthritis. These can be expected to improve with weight loss.
